1st lesson of the year

First week of January, so far so good… was hoping to have a great start at working place. So far things went okay. Traffic was good, colleagues felt refresh after the holiday, boss as well & no appointments. *phew*… but on the weekend it wasn’t like that. I got quite upset with myself. Disappointed @ myself. It was so silly!! Really silly! Come to think of it, I laughed @ myself.

Last Saturday, went to 1U alone at night. I just love spending time by myself walking & doing window shopping. But I went there for a specific reason, that is to renew my One card. I placed the One card on the rubber mat which on the dashboard. Drove on the steep path to level 3, then I break. The card drop beneath my seat, I couldn’t find it, as I need to look ahead & drivers behind will sure horn at me for stopping for too long. So I quickly, look for it, while keeping my eyes at the front. Finally when it reaches my turn, I give up! I couldn’t find it! So I took the normal ticket instead. I was grumbling, complaining, scolding myself, feeling disappointed at my own act. ‘why lar I put it on the dashboard, should have just taken out from the wallet when it reach my turn. By now I could have walk into the mall, & now driving slowly looking for empty car park space.’ I even scream & scolded myself in the car!!... yea, to that extreme.

In less than 30mins, I found 1. Walk to the mall, went to the information counter to renew the One card. Then just for fun, I ask the man who did the renewal, ‘Erm, since my One card already expired for shopping purposes for more than a month, can I still use it for preferred parking? Just for the parking’ and he reply ‘sorry miss, you can’t… we need to get you a new card, this card is no longer valid’… HAIH!!!!...yea, so what’s the use of scolding myself?, screaming & yelling @ myself in the car for? So what if the card doesn’t drop from the dashboard?...

Lesson is, don’t get all tight up so quickly, knowing that things happen for a reason. I might create a massive jam in the car park. It was silly…

Other than that, I had a great new year break. Movie, Zzzzz time, cake making, celebrated January babies, attended 2 weddings & a lil shopping, to reward myself… EEEeeehehheheehhehehhehhee….

This year there’s gonna be lotsa celebration! *excited*… quite a few of my close ones are getting married & planning to get married!!... so excited to hear the excitement of choosing which bridal shop, the tea ceremony, games for the heng tai’s & this year for the 1st time, I get to be the maid of honor. *cool*.. really have no idea how & what I’m suppose to do (as long as it doesn’t include in counting $, I’m fine). Lotsa experience to gain from them, so that when it is my turn, it will be helpful *smiles* I know to them, it might not be as excited as I say it here, cos all these involves, $$$$, time, parents & etc… so they can be quite stressful about it. Hope my excitement keeps them going & cheer them up. *smiles*
